Circular economy and "R" strategies in urban and EU legal context

Project: Circ@Home
Virtual event
Training session for Circ@Home partners on circular economy strategies and local hubs.

Description

On October 28, Circ@Home project partners participated in an online training session aimed at deepening their understanding of the circular economy and the "R" strategies within the urban and EU legal context.

The session covered key concepts such as the Local Circularity Hub, which acts as a central point for circular activities, including repair cafés, sharing platforms, and recycling centers. These hubs are designed to support local-level implementation of circular economy strategies, offering both practical tools for households and municipalities.

Another important point was the Spider-Web Model, which helps households assess and improve their circular consumption through the 9R strategies (e.g., Refuse, Reuse, Repair). This flexible model encourages sustainable choices and serves as a guide for advancing circular habits.

The training also explored the types of services required to integrate these strategies effectively into local circular hubs, providing actionable insights for project partners.
