Description

The ChemClimCircle-2 partners will convene in Vilnius for a two-day meeting designed to advance both the strategic direction and the practical implementation of the project.

The first day opens with a plenary session introducing the CCC-2 strategic framework and exploring opportunities for collaboration across work packages. Partners will discuss capacity-building needs, share reflections from the Green Governance Day, and align their understanding of how procurement, circularity, climate and chemical safety objectives intersect within the CCC-2 approach.

In the afternoon, the meeting transitions to a hands-on working format at the Martynas Mažvydas National Library. Partners will review experiences with the organisational mapping matrix, discuss procurement case selection, and participate in expert exchanges supporting the development of procurement approaches and impact assessment tools.

Further work will focus on enhancing the project’s data collection methodology to ensure consistent and comparable information across municipalities and regional entities. The day concludes with an impact assessment session guiding partners through environmental impact mapping and helping define ambition levels for the upcoming pilot procurements.

On the second day, the consortium will shift toward forward planning. Municipalities and regional authorities will begin shaping their procurement pilot plans, translating insights from earlier assessments into concrete directions for the next phase of implementation.

In parallel, a dedicated working group will continue refining the emerging impact assessment concept, ensuring that climate, circularity and chemical safety considerations are coherently integrated into the future pilot cases.

By combining strategic discussion with practical co-creation, the two-day meeting will help consolidate a shared direction and strengthen the foundation for the next steps of ChemClimCircle-2.
