Description

BALTFLOODS Climate Walk and Talk

As part of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of Interreg Cooperation Day 2026, BALTFLOODS is organizing a local event on 23 September 2026 to bring climate cooperation closer to citizens and also showcase project BALTFLOODS and its contribution in building climate resilient communities.

BALTFLOODS Climate Walk & Talk is an outdoor event that combines nature, learning, and discussion. Participants will join a guided walk around the project’s pilot sites, exploring how the project is using advanced monitoring technologies to support flood preparedness and improve stormwater management.

Along the route, participants will take part in a fun Climate Bingo activity while learning about stormwater, wetlands, nature -based solutions.

The event continues with a series of walking panel discussions in the woods, bringing together experts and practitioners to share experiences, insights, and practical examples in an interactive outdoor setting.

As participants walk between the pilot sites, discussions will take place at several stops along the route. Each stop will focus on a specific topic related to the surrounding area, such as stormwater management, flood preparedness, wetland restoration, and nature-based solutions. Experts will share their knowledge, lessons learned, and practical experiences, while participants are encouraged to ask questions, exchange ideas, and join the conversation. This unique format combines learning, networking, and firsthand observation of local solutions and challenges in the natural environment.
