Arts facilitator workshop in Bavaria

Project: Arts on Prescription
Physical Meeting
Training Workshop for Arts and Cultural Facilitators

Description

Art classes for greater well-being // Art and culture for greater well-being
Basics on the connection between cultural education and health promotion

Artistic activities promote mental well-being in particular - this is not only scientifically proven. Many people also know this intuitively and take part in art courses to clear their heads, take time for themselves or express themselves artistically, for example.

In this workshop, we will look at the connections between artistic activity, creativity and mental health from your perspective as a course leader, at attributions on the subject of mental illness and at how to deal with stressed participants in the context of cultural education, as well as your role as a course leader and the organisation of the courses.

The event includes both knowledge transfer and exchange of experiences and is open to all course leaders in the vhs cultural sector.

The training is part of the Interreg BSR project ‘Arts on Prescription in the Baltic Sea Region’ and organised by the Bremen vhs, the Senator for Health, Women and Consumer Protection and the Senator for Culture - co-funded by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund).

Lecturers:
Hannah Goebel heads the Arts on Prescription / Kunst auf Rezept project at the Bremen Adult Education Centre. She has been working in the field of mental health promotion for many years and has already accompanied several other projects at the interface of cultural education and health promotion.
Leonie Koch comes from the field of art therapy and is responsible for programme planning and supporting participants in Arts on Prescription.
