Description

On 14th of September 2026, Kolomyia, the vibrant cultural and historic center of Pokuttya, will host the third meeting as part of the ArtWell Net project. Organized in cooperation with international and local partners, the event aims to bring together an interdisciplinary group of participants — experts from the health, culture, education, and social sectors, as well as anyone interested in exploring the synergy between art, mental health, and community well-being.

The meeting will focus on connecting the Baltic model of Arts on Prescription with Ukrainian practices, exploring how social prescription schemes can be adapted to support individuals and communities, and how Ukrainian experience can enrich international approaches in the Baltic Sea region.

The event programme includes:

  • Welcome addresses by Bogdan Stanislavskyi (Mayor of Kolomyia), Mariana Kodina (Director of the Education and Culture Department of Kolomyia City Council), and Elias Sandling (Sunderby Folk High School, Sweden);
  • A presentation on the core principles and implementation tools of the Baltic model of Arts on Prescription;
  • A presentation of the outcomes and practical insights from the Ukrainian workshop series, led by Mariana Kodina and psychologist Maryna Tymofiichuk;
  • A group discussion on integrating Baltic approaches into Ukrainian practice and sharing Ukrainian experiences with international partners.

We warmly encourage you to take an active part in this unique event, which provides an excellent platform for making valuable contacts and expanding your expertise in the rapidly evolving field of art and well-being.

Attendance at the event is free of charge and possible both in person and online, but registration is required.

The ArtWell Net project aims to highlight the potential of “Arts on Prescription” programmes and build a collaborative network across the Baltic Sea region and Ukraine. As mental health and emotional recovery remain vital priorities, innovative social and cultural approaches play a crucial role in strengthening community resilience.

The meeting features outcomes of the BSR Mental Health Platform projects Arts on Prescription in the Baltic Sea Region and Arts on Prescription in Norway and its outcomes contribute to the platform work stream on the benefits of arts and culture on mental health.
