Toivokoti Open Doors Day: Experience the SmartAging Social Oasis

On 23 September 2026, Toivokoti in Lappeenranta will welcome the families and relatives of its residents for an Open Doors event.

As part of the day, visitors will have the opportunity to explore and experience the SmartAging Social Oasis , the Community Corner pilot opened at Toivokoti in August 2026.

The Social Oasis brings together human-centred design, bio-based materials, circular solutions, soundscapes, activity games and smart technology in a shared environment. It has been created to explore how thoughtfully designed spaces and different solutions can support well-being, activity and social interaction in elderly-care settings.

The Open Doors event offers families and relatives an opportunity to see the pilot environment in use and learn more about the ideas, technologies and partner contributions brought together within the SmartAging project.
