AgriLoop

The project AgriLoop helps farmers, cooperatives and agri-businesses in Lithuania, Latvia and Poland adopt affordable, practical circular solutions, from herd management to turning manure by-products into compost and organic fertilisers, to lower production costs and improve soil health.
Project summary

AgriLoop delivers practical innovations that help agriculture shift from linear “use and waste” practices to circular models that are efficient, climate-friendly and beneficial to society. The project integrates the whole cycle of sustainable farming: farm performance will be improved through efficiency gains in herd management and more effective feeding strategies, while manure and other residues will be converted into compost and organic fertilisers directly usable on farms. These circular solutions reduce dependency on synthetic fertilisers, cut greenhouse gas emissions, enhance soil fertility and carbon storage, and lower production costs. The strength of AgriLoop is its strong focus on practice. Partners in Lithuania, Latvia and Poland will introduce ready-to-apply technologies and share workable solutions across borders. Farmers gain tools to make their farms more resilient and competitive, while local communities benefit from cleaner environments, healthier soils and stronger local economies. For society at large, the project contributes to climate neutrality, sustainable food systems and improved quality of life in rural areas. By combining efficiency improvements with waste-to-resource innovations, AgriLoop demonstrates how farming in the Baltic Sea Region can provide tangible environmental, economic and social benefits, strengthening the region’s path towards sustainable and climate-friendly growth.
