This project builds on the Interreg BSR BEST ACE project and addresses the untapped potential of biofertilizer and biogenic CO₂. Strengthening value chains around these by-products can enhance resource efficiency, environmental performance, and profitability, especially for rural biogas plants outside the gas grid. While innovative solutions exist, implementation remains limited in the regions in this consortium due to lack of knowledge. To enable implementation within our target groups, the project will make factual knowledge and experience from frontrunner accessible to local actors who are not part of expert networks today. To bridge the gap, the project establishes forums where biogas stakeholders can learn from frontrunners, connect with technical solution providers, and exchange knowledge. Together with the target groups, the project fosters shared learning by emphasizing local contexts, success factors, and challenges during webinars, transnational workshops, and study visits. These activities showcase real-world implementation of solutions related to biofertilizer processing and the utilization of biogenic CO₂. All insights will be compiled into a knowledge guide. By building capacity and inspiring action—particularly in rural and agricultural areas—the project aims to advance biogas deployment and develop a more circular, economically sustainable value chain. This contributes to the EU Circular Economy Action Plan, supporting the transition to circular bioeconomy.
