APRIORA Final Conference

Project: APRIORA
Physical Meeting
APRIORA Final Conference presenting main outcomes and providing a practical workshop on our solution

Description

Three years of collaboration. One key question: How can we make wastewater management smarter and more effective in reducing micropollutant emissions?

On 14–15 September 2026, the APRIORA Project will bring its answer to Helsinki.

APRIORA is developing an innovative risk assessment approach and GIS-based tool to help authorities and wastewater operators better understand and reduce emissions of pharmaceutical residues in our waters. By combining monitoring, modelling, and risk evaluation, the project enables more informed, cost-effective decisions on where action is needed most.

At our Final Conference, policymakers, researchers, environmental authorities, and wastewater professionals will come together to explore how these solutions can move from pilot applications to wider implementation across the Baltic Sea Region.

The programme will feature expert discussions on pilot results, risk-based decision-making, governance and regulatory frameworks, and pathways for scaling up, alongside dedicated networking opportunities.

From real-life pilot testing in five countries to practical tools for prioritising wastewater treatment upgrades, APRIORA is delivering concrete solutions for cleaner waters. Now it is time to discuss what comes next.
