Culture House Kilden in Brøndby is an open cultural centre with a library, a concert hall, bookable rooms for unions and organisations, and a large industrial kitchen. Its users are diverse and change frequently. Kilden was constructed in 2000 and has a total area of 2,581.2 m².
Key aspects of the pilot:
- Guidelines for everyday building use: The pilot will develop best-practice behavioural guidelines on electricity and water use for staff.
- Awareness through creative formats: art installations
- Consumption data: The optional visualisation of consumption data on screens may be used to make energy use more visible.
- Energy pilots network: Kilden is also part of Brøndby’s “energy pilots” network, which brings together representatives from the pilot sites in Brøndby every three months to evaluate, share insights and discuss how experiences can be scaled to similar institutions in the municipality.
The pilot is conducted by Flip-EC project partner Brøndby Kommune.
