Technical details

This week marked an important milestone with the official launch of the European Digital Health Equity Network (EDHEN) during the first European Digital Health Literacy Conference at Aalborg University. The conference was organised by the Research Centre Health and Applied Technology UCN together with the Department of Health Science and Technology, with support from the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

✨ EDHEN brings together researchers, practitioners, technology developers, policymakers, civil society actors, and patient organisations with the shared goal of advancing a more inclusive and equitable digital transformation of health systems across Europe.

The network’s mission is to strengthen transnational collaboration, support evidence-based action, and promote policy coherence in order to ensure that digital health solutions contribute to greater health equity for all.

Built on the strong foundations of Health Literacy (HL) and Digital Health Literacy (DHL) research and innovation, EDHEN continues and expands existing efforts to empower people through accessible, people-centred digital health approaches. The network is further strengthened through collaboration with European initiatives and projects dedicated to improving digital empowerment and active healthy living.

EDHEN is open to everyone committed to shaping a fair, inclusive, and people-centred digital health future across Europe and beyond.
