APRIORA One Health Summer School GIS Based Risk Mapping for Wastewater Borne Micropollutants in Receiving Waters

Course format - The course is delivered in a blended format.

Online module – an introductory session preparing participants for the on‑site activities (4 hours). It includes: (i) an overview of micropollutants in the environment and a presentation of the general course concept and workflow, (ii) a short technical introduction to QGIS together with preparation of the working environment required for the practical exercises. The materials will be recorded and made available for download. Date: between 6 and 10 July (details coming soon).

On‑site module – combines short, interactive expert lectures with intensive hands‑on exercises, including QGIS computer labs, case‑study‑based tasks, demonstrations of field and laboratory procedures, and problem‑solving discussions. Date: 20–24 July. The programme includes approx. 35 hours of activities, held at Gdańsk University of Technology, including the technical visit to the Dębogórze WWTP.

Fees and registration

Registration open until May 17th! The course is free of charge — it is organised within the ENHANCE alliance of European technical universities (see below*). Therefore, please register via the portal: https://ilc.enhanceuniversity.eu/opportunities/132

Accommodation – accommodation in student dormitories is available in single or double rooms (approximate prize about 50-70 PLN per person per day).

Meals – small catering will be provided during the on‑site course (scope to be confirmed).

Certificate – upon completion, participants will receive an ENHANCE micro‑credential: a digital, concise certificate confirming the acquisition of specific skills/knowledge.
