Dr Angelika Kiel (HR Smolice) presented the PestSpace project at the II National Scientific Conference “Science for Biological Progress”, held in Poland in Lublin / Janów Lubelski on 20–22 April 2026.

Her presentation, “PestSpace: integration of nanopore sequencing and image analysis in winter wheat and faba bean protection”, showcased innovative approaches combining sequencing technologies and image analysis to support plant health and crop protection.

The conference provided a platform for exchanging knowledge on advances in biological sciences and strengthening collaboration between research institutions working in plant breeding and agriculture. It also represented another opportunity to disseminate information about the PestSpace project and its objectives within the scientific community.
