22 April 2026
Project partners met in Luleå for the third all partner meeting, combining strategic discussions, practical insights and a shared roadmap for the next phase of work towards sustainable shipping in the Baltic Sea Region.
Technical details

The H2Deri@BSP project partners met in Luleå and Storforsen, Sweden, for the project’s third all partner meeting, marking the end of the first project year. The meeting focused on advancing the green transition of shipping in the Baltic Sea Region and included a visit to the Port of Luleå, where major investments are supporting industrial transformation.

During the meeting, partners discussed market demand and the techno-economic aspects of hydrogen-based fuels, as well as bunkering solutions, regulatory frameworks, safety, and communication with port stakeholders. These exchanges also helped define the next steps and the joint roadmap for 2026–2027.

The meeting also strengthened cooperation across the partnership and deepened the partners’ understanding of regional conditions, which is essential for moving from ambition to implementation. This aligns closely with the project’s wider objective to help ports, terminal operators, and energy providers integrate green hydrogen derivatives such as methanol and ammonia into port operations and support the transition towards climate-neutral shipping.

Exciting results are ahead. Stay tuned as we continue shaping the future of sustainable shipping in the Baltic Sea Region!
