Technical details

Climate Smart Business Toolkit framework since August 2025. Partners use Howspace platform in online workshops and co-creation process of the Toolkit.  Partner destinations coordinated pre-testing of selected toolkit elements with tourism SMEs and sectoral organisations in their destinations, collecting stakeholder feedback to support further improvement of the toolkit framework. Associated Organisations are also engaged in the toolkit co-development. The co-development of the three sections of Toolkit is on-going:

Section 1: Climate-smart business development tools for companies

Section 2: Model for co-creating low-carbon visitor experiences

Section 3: Knowledge Management Model

All partner destinations approached tourism companies to engage them and involved them in the co-development of the toolkit section 1 by sharing a pre-survey aimed at its end users. Section 1 of the Toolkit was made ready for piloting in Dec. 2025. First pilot is a series of training workshops for tourism SMEs and large enterprises. So far 49 SMEs and 2 large enterprises participated in the first training workshops in partner destinations. Pilot 1 workshops include testing of Toolkit Section 1 materials with the tourism companies.

Output of A2.4 is the solution for reaching the project objective of accelerating
transition towards climate neutral and resilient tourism business in partner
destinations. Toolkit will be a comprehensive digital publication comprising key
evaluated learnings and tools used in piloting to support destination level climate work.
Toolkit contents are directed for companies to aid them in shifting to a climate smart
