Description

The third Hävikkifestarit (Waste Festival), held in Oulu, brought people together for an inspiring day dedicated to reducing food waste and promoting sustainable living. Visitors enjoyed interactive workshops, engaging discussions, cultural performances, and a screening of Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story. A highlight of the day was the lively “Waste Chef War,” where chefs created delicious dishes from surplus ingredients. The event concluded with a communal dinner made from rescued food, showcasing practical and creative ways to reduce waste in everyday life.
