NURSECOAST-II meeting with the Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland

On 26 February, representatives of IMP PAN met with the Pomeranian Voivodeship Board to discuss the progress and future plans of the NURSECOAST-II project.

On 26 February, Ksawery Kuligowski and Adam Cenian from the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IMP PAN) met with Adam Gawrylik, Member of the Board of the Pomeranian Voivodeship Board, to present the current progress of the NURSECOAST-II project, including its key achievements and ongoing challenges.

The discussion focused on project-developed mitigation solutions addressing intensified tourism pressure on wastewater management systems in near-coastal regions. The meeting resulted in valuable conclusions, opening opportunities for future cooperation, institutional support, and potential patronage of the NURSECOAST-II final conference, scheduled for 9–10 September 2026 in Gdańsk.

The meeting was also attended by Marek Zimakowski, Chief Inspector of Sea Fisheries, further strengthening the institutional dialogue around sustainable coastal management.
