Ustka workshop highlights role of public services in climate resilience planning
22 January 2026
A third workshop focussing on the involvement of public services in climate resilience planning was held in Ustka, Poland on 15 January 2026, engaging local stakeholders such as the Fire Department, the Police, the Słupsk County Office and the Ustka City Guard.
The workshop was part of a series under the ClimaResponse project conducted in pilot sites to develop guidelines for inclusive climate resilience planning, and followed two previous workshops also held in Ustka.
“We must involve all relevant authorities for climate resilience planning to work in practice and deliver,” said Paulina Aleksander from the “Pomorskie in the European Union” Association, the ClimaResponse project partner organising the workshops. “Early cooperation with authorities helps ensure that plans are realistic, coordinated and effective.”
Feedback from the workshops will inform the development of project deliverables, including a digital planning tool to support municipalities in developing climate resilience plans.
