PestSpace Presented at the Annual Arab Asian Biotechnology Conference (AABC 2025)

Prof. Małgorzata Jędryczka from the Institute of Plant Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences, represented the Interreg PestSpace project at the Annual Arab Asian Biotechnology Conference (AABC 2025), held in the stunning, historically inspired interiors of the Library of Alexandria in Egypt.
Technical details

During the event, Prof. Jędryczka delivered a presentation titled “Decision Support Systems in Plant Protection for the Bioeconomy.” She introduced the key objectives of the PestSpace project, highlighted its importance for modern bioeconomy strategies, and showcased how decision-support tools can enhance plant protection practices.

The presentation generated significant interest among conference participants. Attendees asked numerous questions about the lecture itself as well as about Interreg initiatives, knowledge transfer, and cross-border collaboration. Particular attention was drawn to the practical applications of PestSpace results in contemporary pathogen risk-management systems.
