SmartAging x GT4T Hackathon Day 2— Towards real solutions with creativity!

SmartAging x GT4T (Greentech4Transformation) Hackathon has wrapped up and we have a winner! 🏆

After a weekend filled with hard work, teams presented their innovative ideas and prototypes aimed at improving the daily lives of older adults. The day began with a practice pitch session at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences – SAMK Pori campus, where Pasi Rantanen, Jauke Buijs, and Ali Tavakoli, provided valuable feedback and insights to help participants refine their pitches.

By the afternoon, it was time for the final presentations, evaluated by our jury based on criteria of environmental responsibility, technological innovation, and elderly-centered design. Our jury Marko Mikkola (SAMK Accelerator), Mikko Sundel (Porin Yrittäjät ry), Pasi Rantanen (Ikigaia Ltd), Jussi Bergman (SAMK Intelligent Industry), and Ryann Deloso (MeCare) picked us four winners:

🏅 1st place: Team Chill Girls
🥈 2nd place: Team Senior Developer
🥉 3rd place (tie): Teams Triple A and Smart-Lift

The jury was truly impressed by the creativity and quality of all projects.  Even teams that didn’t win were encouraged to continue developing their ideas with just a bit of polishing, many could become real solutions.
