Supported by Nature at the 5th World Congress of Biosphere Reserves in China
04 November 2025

Place: Hangzhou, China
Date: 22–25 September 2025
Held every ten years, this high-level event is a milestone for the global biosphere network — setting new priorities, fostering collaboration, and defining a Global Action Plan.

Lars Korn from the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve represented the project at the exhibition booth, sharing insights on nature-based solutions and our collaborative work with the Learning sites with an international audience.

Also attending were Johanna MacTaggart, Project Strategist, and Toomas Kokovkin from the West Estonian Archipelago Biosphere Reserve, helping amplify the project’s visibility and building connections with global biosphere practitioners, researchers, and policymakers.
