Technical details

On 25 September 2025, partners from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) brought a suite of sensory-engaging solutions developed within the KidsLikeUs Interreg Baltic Sea Region project to the Nepsymessut fair at Sataedu in Ulvila. The booth drew steady crowds throughout the day, with teachers, pedagogues and other child-focused professionals stopping by to explore hands-on demonstrations and discuss practical classroom and home applications.

A busy booth and positive reception

The event was packed, and SAMK’s booth attracted many visitors, particularly educators and professionals working with children. Attendees examined exhibits, asked questions about implementation and gave overwhelmingly positive feedback about the tools and methods on display. Visitors repeatedly expressed that the work being carried out in the KidsLikeUs project—rooted in promoting children’s wellbeing—was both timely and directly useful for daily practice.

Practical reactions from professionals

Teachers and other child-care professionals told SAMK staff that they were impressed by the conceptual clarity and usability of the solutions. Many commented on how easily the demonstrated items could be incorporated into everyday practice — from small-group work and quiet corners in preschool to individualized support for children with diverse sensory needs. Several visitors noted they would adopt the solutions in their classrooms immediately, and some expressed interest in using the materials with their own children at home.
