Baltic District Heating Innovation Forum 2025

Project: Energy Equilibrium
Virtual Meeting & Physical Meeting

Description

We are pleased to invite you to the Baltic District Heating Innovation Forum 2025, a one-day expert meeting dedicated to the future of district heating systems in the Baltic Sea Region.

This cross-project event brings together partners from four EU projects:

  • DecarbonDHS and BES (Interreg South Baltic Programme)
  • Energy Equilibrium (Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme)
  • DeCrises (Horizon Europe Programme)

Hosted by Instytut Maszyn Przepływowych PAN (IMP PAN) and SweHeat & Cooling (Sweden), the Forum will foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation across borders.

Why It Matters?

District heating systems are at the heart of sustainable energy transitions. During the Forum, we will:

  • Map the digital path from heat source to a heat substation/building;
  • Explore how to unlock the potential of waste and surplus heat
  • Discuss predictive maintenance, smart monitoring, and grid refurbishment technologies
  • Showcase integration of heat storage into district heating systems
  • Address the transformation of DHS into low-temperature, high-efficiency grids

Our goal is to strengthen cooperation and accelerate innovation among stakeholders in the Baltic Sea Region.

Who Should Attend?

  • Managers and technical leads of heat supply companies
  • Grid operators, innovation and R&D experts
  • Designers and integrators of district heating technologies
