06 October 2025
Technical details

During Researchers’ Night in Riga Technical University, Latvia, participants had the opportunity to model possible scenarios and choose the most suitable policies for addressing them. Each policy carried a specific weight based on its impact, which led to a competition among participants to select the most effective policies. The goal was to make the most appropriate and optimal decisions within a given scenario or model to support the achievement of climate neutrality targets.

The activity was designed to engage a broad audience, including students, educators, and members of the general public, fostering interest in climate-related research and policy-making. Through interactive simulations and discussions, participants gained insights into the complexity of environmental decision-making and the importance of evidence-based strategies. The event contributed to public awareness and promoted dialogue between researchers and society on sustainability and climate action.
