Supported by Nature - nature based solution learning sites for a sustainable Baltic Sea
Supported by Nature
Mid-term Conference Supported by Nature
16 September 2025
From September 8–11, the Supported by Nature partners gathered at the Korpoström Archipelago Center, hosted by Turku University of Applied Sciences. Partners from biosphere reserves and organizations across Finland, Estonia, Poland, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden came together to shape the future of our project.
What inspiring days in the Finnish archipelago!
During these days we:
- Co-created our project outputs in creative workshops
- Explored learning sites at Brattnäs and Sjölax
- Shared experiences and evaluated pilots
- Compiled learning site activities from across the region
We gained good insight into what it’s like to live in the archipelago. The conference was not only about reflection – it was about inspiration. Being surrounded by the unique archipelago environment reminded us why nature-based solutions are so vital for resilient waters, thriving communities, and future generations.
Together, we are creating learning sites that demonstrate nature-based solutions for watercourses, wetlands, and coastal habitats — while also strengthening cooperation across the Baltic Sea region.
