Description

The future of safe and efficient navigation on the Baltic Sea is now, as the three Interreg Baltic Sea Region projects ORMOBASS, MaDaMe and Baltic Sea e-Nav are shaping essential cornerstones of e-navigation in the Baltic Sea region and beyond. Each project addresses complementary challenges of the IMO e-navigation strategy to increase safety and efficiency at sea.:

  • ORMOBASS focuses on providing reliable navigation information using the terrestrial navigation system R-Mode and a GNSS interference detection system.
  • MaDaMe concentrates on developing and piloting new digital services for information sharing and messaging, based on the IHO S-100 framework.
  • Baltic Sea e-Nav works towards developing the next-generation of S-100 compliant navigation products and harmonization of the products across borders.

The Baltic Sea is one of the world’s busiest and most sensitive seas. The projects bring together stakeholders from the maritime sector and work with them to implement cross-border solutions for safe and efficient maritime transport in the Baltic Sea of the future.

We invite you to attend our joint project seminar on December 3rd, 2025, online or at the Danish Royal Library in Copenhagen.

Take this opportunity to explore the transformation that has begun and participate in discussions with our project experts!
