KidsLikeUs Inspiring Pilot Event at Ukraina Talo

On the 3^rd of May, the KidsLikeUs Interreg BSR project celebrated a successful pilot event at Ukraina Talo, with the participation of partners from Finland’s Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) to showcase the latest KidsLikeUs project’s innovations in children’s well-being.

During the event, children and their parents and grandparents explored a variety of interactive experiences, including a VR relaxation experience (developed in Finland) and a VR fairytale designed in Lithuania to promote calmness and support emotional health. Attendees also had the hands-on opportunity to try two exciting prototypes: the Sensory Accessibility App, which helps map the sensory-friendliness of different environments, and the Music Cushion, which offered soothing self-love affirmation messages for children to enjoy.

A highlight of the day was when Ukrainian children recorded uplifting messages for their peers around the world, sharing hope and encouragement. These heartfelt recordings will be turned into a special video to be released later this year.
