Ignite the Future!

The Latvia Ministry of Climate and Energy in cooperation with Riga Technical University organised an open-air event “Ignite the Future!”. The event was held in Jelgava, Post Island, Latvia on 24^th of May and gathered people interested in green living and sustainable solutions in the environment around us. The event included stands of companies and organisations involved in green living, green energy and solutions implementing STEM field. University of Latvia CEforestry team was represented by Prof. Maris Klavins, who introduced the CEforestry project to the event participants and the necessity of forestry sector transition towards sustainable and circular field. Event brought attention to the project by actively engaging with the participants and discussing the role of bioeconomy and possibilities of a more sustainable forestry sector.
