Workshop - Culture, creativity and integration of older people

Project: Arts on Prescription
Virtual event
Social integration of older people in BSR societies.

Description

This workshop builds upon the "Culture X Integration" event held on October 29, 2024, in Visby during the EUSBSR Annual Forum. You can read a summary of that event here: Culture X Integration Workshop Wrap-Up.

The goal is to initiate the formation of a group of stakeholders as a transnational platform for exchange and collaboration on social integration through cultural and creative means. While last year’s focus was on integrating individuals with a migrant background, this year PA Culture and PA Education aim to broaden the scope to include diverse social groups, with a particular focus on older people.

The workshop will feature three inspiring showcases:

  • Art of Belonging – presented by Lara Sanna, Lund University
  • Culture on prescription (COPE) Project – presented by Jana Eckert, ISIS Institute for social infrastructure
  • History Comes Alive – presented by Charlotte Alheim, Helsingborg

It aims to explore and showcase cultural and creative approaches that support inclusion, participation and a stronger sense of belonging for older individuals.
