Description

We are pleased to share that the CEforestry project — Innovation in forestry biomass residue processing: towards circular forestry with added value products — was recently presented at the 83rd International Scientific Conference of the University of Latvia. The presentation took place in the "Applied Research in Environmental Science" section, showcasing our commitment to advancing sustainable and innovative forestry practices.

As part of the conference, our team delivered a talk titled "Logging residue as a source of lipophilic extract fractions." The presentation highlighted ongoing research into the valorization of forestry biomass residues — specifically, the potential of logging by-products to yield valuable lipophilic extractives that can be utilized in various industrial applications. The conference provided an excellent platform for scientific exchange, bringing together researchers, practitioners, and policy makers from across the environmental sciences. Presenting at the conference not only strengthened the visibility of the CEforestry project but also opened new avenues for collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the broader field of circular bioeconomy. We thank the University of Latvia for hosting this inspiring event and look forward to continuing our efforts in driving forward sustainable innovation in forestry.
