Latest edition of Baltic Rim Economies takes on sustainable nutrient management
24 April 2025
Centrum Balticum publishes the Baltic Sea region wide publication Baltic Rim Economies. The February 2025 issue of Baltic Rim Economies shines a light on the Baltic Sea Region’s transformation of nutrient pollution into a circular economy opportunity. It delves into topics such as nutrient recycling potential, innovative technologies, agronomic perspectives, and the current landscape of policies and governance. Practical applications like phosphorus recovery from sewage sludge, biogas production from poultry manure, and the use of urine-based fertilizers in barley cultivation are showcased. Naturally, the CiNURGi project and the expert areas of its consortium members are prominently featured. The themes presented by CiNURGi partners vary from presentations of the project itself to farmers perspectives, biogas, pyrolysis, water issues and beyond.
