How Can Residual Biomass Be Better Utilized in Skive Municipality?

The CiNURGi project focuses on nutrient recycling for both economic and environmental purposes. Nutrient leakage is a waste of resources as well as an environmental risk for the waters of the Baltic Sea region.
Skive Kommune has an impact on the aquatic environment due to its location, as the municipality is bounded by the Limfjord, Venoe Bay and Hjarbaek Fjord. The location with fjords and coastal landscapes is very defining for the municipality. There are more than 190 km of coastline, and the nearest coast is never further than 12 km.
Energibyen Skive have mapped residual biomass in the municipality to create new opportunities for circular utilisation of resources. The report provides a detailed insight into the potentials. Dive into the results via this link.
