TRUST ALUM Project at TalTech University

We introduced the first results from pilot lake Velnezers (Latvia) showing ALUM treatment effectiveness and raising interest to upscale method to Estonia.

On February 11, 2025, our Lead Partner and Project Manager, Dr. Inta Dimanta-Deimantovica, was invited as a key speaker at the TalTech University Seminar in Estonia. She presented the talk:

“First Application of Aluminum Salts to Bind Phosphorus in Eutrophied Lake Sediments in the Baltic – 2024 Results and Achievements.”

During the session, she introduced the TRUST ALUM project, the first-ever lake treatment in the Baltic region with ALUM method, highlighting:

  • First research findings on the method’s effectiveness
  • Target group engagement strategies
  • Materials developed to ease and promote ALUM treatment

The event gathered over 30 participants in hybrid format, fostering valuable discussions on innovative approaches to improve Baltic lake water quality.
