The BSI_4Women project took center stage at the Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region on 30 October 2024 in Gotland, Sweden. Represented by Marek Duda and Jakub Karp, the project captivated the audience with its innovative approach to empowering refugee women through entrepreneurship. The BSI_4Women project gained recognition at the prestigious Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, held in Visby, Gotland, Sweden, from October 29 to 31, 2024. Representing the project, Marek Duda and Jakub Karp showcased its innovative approach to fostering entrepreneurship among refugee women, contributing to the region’s economic and social cohesion.

The Forum, which gathered stakeholders from across the Baltic Sea Region, provided a platform to discuss solutions for shared challenges and opportunities for collaboration. During the session titled “Financing Cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region”, on 30 October, the BSI_4Women project was highlighted as an exemplary initiative aligning with the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region Action Plan. Jakub Karp joined the panel focusing on project reflections. He shared how BSI_4Women leverages funding from the Interreg Baltic Sea Region to create opportunities for refugee women while fostering economic growth and social inclusion across borders. Jakub emphasized the project’s alignment with the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region Action Plan and its active collaboration with policy area coordinators, highlighting its contributions to regional development.

Marek Duda actively participated in the networking sessions, engaging with other participants and sharing insights about the project’s activities and its role in addressing challenges in the Baltic Sea Region. His involvement highlighted the importance of exchanging knowledge and experiences during such events.

The Annual Forum provided an opportunity to celebrate the success of projects like BSI_4Women, which stand out as strong examples of transnational collaboration making a positive impact on the region.
