Technical details

The 22nd on-line meeting of the BalMarGrav project was held on October 24, 2024 and brought together 15 representatives of the Project Partners. At the beginning of the meeting Monika Wilde-PiĆ³rko (IGiK, Project Manager) has once again discussed the deadlines associated with the preparation of the Progress Report 4. Next, she presented a summary of the pilot activities that took place from September 9 to September 23, 2024. The pilot began with an on-line webinar on September 9, 2024, with 20 participants from Denmark, Germany, Latvia, Poland and Sweden. Later, 11 representatives of geodetic and geological sectoral agencies, institutions and universities download the homogenized historical marine gravity dataset from the NKG/FAMOS/BalMarGrav database. In addition, 6 people completed an on-line survey reporting that they had no problems with downloading the dataset and it met their expectations. A survey on the increasing institutional capacity required by the Interreg MA/JS at the end of the project was also discussed. Monika Wilde-PiĆ³rko informed that the homogenized historical marine gravity dataset will soon be uploaded to the International Gravimetric Bureau (BGI) database, as well as the best version of the sources: #319, #995 and #996 to the NKG/FAMOS/BalMarGrav gravity database. The preparation of an article on the results of the project in the scientific journal was also discussed. At the end of the meeting, it was agreed that the last meeting of the BalMarGrav project will be held after the approval of the final report.
