Building trust in target groups for ALUM treatment - an effective, yet misunderstood method for water quality improvement
TRUST ALUM

The treatment boat from Sweden has arrived in Riga!

10 October 2024
Sweden’s Vattenresurs AB are preparing the Velnezers (Riga, Latvia) site, with treatment beginning already next week. We encourage you to come and witness the treatment on-site!
Technical details

We invite you to the TRUST ALUM project event to demonstrate the first ALUM method application in Baltic countries. We will treat Lake Velnezers to reduce intensive eutrophication caused by legacy phosphorus pollution.

This treatment is not only a milestone for the TRUST ALUM project, but also a significant step forward for modern lake treatment and management in Latvia. And we hope our success story will convince and engage the Baltic region stakeholders, and that this treatment will be just the start for wider ALUM method application to treat heavily polluted lakes.
