From September 12 to 16, 2024, the festival will celebrate everything from traditional Hamburg delights like Franzbrötchen and Labskaus to cutting-edge creations from the city’s thriving foodie scene. The goal? To showcase the vast gastronomic diversity of Hamburg while spotlighting regional producers and sustainability.

Good Actions & Hamburg’s Stars

Throughout the festival, numerous Hamburg restaurants will participate with special deals and activities known as Good Actions. These exclusive offerings give guests a chance to experience the city’s culinary talent in fresh, creative ways.

One of the festival’s standout events is “Hamburg’s Stars”, taking place on September 15 at the renowned foodlab in HafenCity. Here, ten of Hamburg’s Michelin-starred chefs will join forces to create an unforgettable dining experience. Chefs like Maurizio Oster (Zeik), Eike Iken (Petit Amour), Alexander Mayer (Atlantic Restaurant), and Thomas Imbusch (100/200) will be among the culinary masterminds behind this extraordinary event.

Festival Hub in Oberhafenquartier

At the heart of the festival lies the vibrant hub in Oberhafenquartier, where visitors can immerse themselves in an array of gastronomic events, tastings, and panel discussions. The Community Stage will host workshops and talks, focusing on culinary innovation, sustainability, and social topics, adding depth to the festival’s foodie festivities.

But that’s not all! The Open Mouth Food Festival will also feature additional events, including the much-anticipated Hamburg Beer Week and the Green Food Festival, both nestled under the festival’s umbrella. Eva Keretic, founder of the Future Food Campus will be giving an inspirational speech.
