30 April 2024
The conference was a summary of the project entitled “Developing comprehensive water recovery solutions and raising awareness of the key role of water in the transformation process towards a Circular Economy (CE)“. The aim of the project was to strengthen the transformation towards the circular economy in the field of circular water resources management.
Izabela Konkol (project partner from the Szewalski Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery Polish Academy of Sciences) took part in the conference and gave a presentation entitled “Adapting the small-scale wastewater treatment to tourism-driven seasonality in the Baltic Sea Region – experiences from the NURSECOAST-II INTERREG Project”. The presentation met with great interest and was also appreciated in the form of an award for the best presentation in the young scientists category.
The conference was an opportunity for interesting conversations and exchange of experiences on the circular economy in the water and sewage sector, water reuse, water and phosphorus recovery. It was also an opportunity to establish new contacts, not only from the ReNutriWater and WaterMan projects, whose representatives participated in the conference.
