Share your insights in survey on coastal planning and development in the Baltic Sea Region
12 July 2024
In this survey we will ask you about the aspects, themes and processes that are included in the existing version of the Common Recommendations for Spatial Planning of the Coastal Zone in the Baltic Sea Region. Hence, by completing this survey, you will contribute to the refining of these recommendations. Your insights will help us to know more on issues and gaps that hinder costal development and to learn about existing valuable actions, policies, and practices that tackle, for example, sustainable blue economy, climate change adaptation and mitigation, resilience of places and biodiversity protection around the Baltic Sea.
Please see survey cover letter here.
Survey structure and volume: The survey should take approximately 25 minutes to complete, and it will accept answers until 30 September 2024.

Survey results will be presented and discussed at two follow-up webinars (in Autumn 2024 and Spring 2025) where all identified challenges and good practices will help:
- to exchange knowledge on coastal planning and management issues;
- to explore possibilities of pan-Baltic cooperation on land-sea interactions, coastal governance, and spatial planning themes;
- to update VASAB recommendations on coastal development and planning.
More information about follow-up webinars will be available in September 2024.
