Greetings from Spring 2024 Maritime Fairs!

25 June 2024
Technical details

Maritime fairs are always the highlight of springtime and offer the best opportunities to meet maritime stakeholders and share information about ongoing projects. The MaDaMe project participated in three maritime fairs during the spring of 2024. The project just started six months ago, so the main goal at this stage was to bring the MaDaMe project to the attention of stakeholders and open new doors for future cooperation.

Fintraffic presented MaDaMe at the Fintraffic VTS’ stand at the Navigate 2024 fair in Turku, Finland, on 15-16 May 2024 and at the Åland Maritime Day 2024 in Mariehamn, Åland, Finland, on 23 May 2024. In Turku, we were happy to have the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) PA Ship and PA Safe representative as special guest at our stand to present their work. The Finnish maritime fairs brought together a large number of stakeholders from all subareas of the maritime sector, both from Finland and other Baltic Sea countries.

For the European Maritime Day (EMD) 2024 fair in Svendborg, Denmark, on 30-31 May 2024, the MaDaMe project joined forces with the “sister project” ORMOBASS in the form of a joint MaDaMe/ORMOBASS fair stand. The special feature of the EMD was that so many EU projects participated in the event. Therefore, EMD 2024 provided a good overall picture of the ongoing development work of projects and companies and really showcased the scale and importance of the EU co-funded development work. As a bonus, it created an empowering feeling that we are part of something bigger.

Now it is time to continue the hard work and hopefully also to enjoy the summer. Warm thank you to all who visited our fair stands for the interest you showed towards the MaDaMe project! Thank you also to the fair organizers for arranging these amazing events.
