Webinar: UBC TALKS about sustainable urban mobility planning

Project: SUMPs for BSR
Virtual event
UBC TALKS about sustainable urban mobility planning

Description

At the webinar on 24 September 2024, we will learn how to approach the concept of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs), and what benefits active mobility brings to cities aiming to achieve climate neutrality and well-being of citizens!

Join us on 24 September 2024 for an insightful UBC Talks webinar where we will delve into the potential of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs). As cities across the Baltic Sea Region aim for climate neutrality and the well-being of their citizens, SUMPs gain a foothold as a strategic tool to promote active and sustainable mobility.

This webinar, organised together with the SUMPs for BSR project (led by the UBC Sustainable Cities Commission), brings together experts and practitioners from across the Baltic Sea Region to share their experiences and insights. You will hear from UBC member cities that are actively engaged in developing their SUMPs, promoting active mobility through small-scale pilots with a special focus on monitoring and evaluation—key components in ensuring the success of these plans.

The agenda features a series of case studies that illustrate how member cities like Turku, Greifswald, and Panevėžys are utilising SUMPs to guide their transition toward sustainable mobility.
