Environmental Center Holds Informative Session on Waste Prevention in Lithuania

In collaboration with Utena District Municipality’s Environmental Protection Department, the Environmental Center for Administration and Technology (ECAT, PP16) organized a focused event titled “Waste Prevention: Why and How?” on March 15th. The gathering, attended by 20 specialists and representatives, aimed to address the surge in waste due to increasing consumption, particularly single-use plastics.

The session spotlighted the BALTIPLAST project and its initiatives, fostering discussions on plastic pollution and waste reduction. Emphasizing collaboration, participants exchanged ideas and experiences, highlighting the importance of collective action in tackling environmental challenges.

The event served as a vital platform for raising awareness and promoting sustainable practices in Utena District. By uniting stakeholders from various sectors, it propelled efforts towards a greener, more sustainable future
