Project aims to ensure coordination of PA Bioeconomy within the EUSBSR. Main objectives of PACs are to enhance the development of Bioeconomy in the BSR, strengthen the cross-sectoral cooperation, including the cooperation with the other Policy Areas: PA Nutri, PA Innovation, PA Energy, involving relevant stakeholders to release potential, accelerate the development of a sustainable circular bioeconomy, while taking into account the increasing challenges related to energy security, food security and environmental sustainability. Activities will contribute to the development of bioeconomy; promoting sustainability, creating added value (valorization of bio products throughout the value chain in different sectors etc); solutions concerning limited resources, climate change and energy security. Main focuses: - Strengthen role and importance of bioeconomy, in relation to sustainability, productivity, climate change, adaption & mitigation, biodiversity, ecosystem and energy security - Strengthen multiple use of resources through cross-cutting and cross-sectorial approaches, incl LULUCF - Engaging a wider circle of relevant stakeholders; broader interconnectivity, synergies and innovation within the BSR. Projects within PA Bioeconomy will contribute to the successful implementation of the EU Strategy for the BSR, including EU Strategies for a Sustainable Bioeconomy, From Farm to Fork, the Forest Strategy, the Biodiversity Strategy 2030, and EU Energy Security Strategy.
